On December 16, Professor Mohammed Ojapah from School of Mechanical Engineering, University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria visits our School for an academic exchange. Vice Dean Liu Zhengxian cordially received the foreign guest, and the two sides held working talks.
At the meeting, Prof. Liu Zhengxian extended a warm welcome to the guests and briefly introduced the general situation of the School and plans to cooperate. The two sides discussed issues such as joint application for international cooperation projects and inviting outstanding Nigerian students to study in China. Professor Mohammed gave an academic report on "Combustion Engine and Emissions" to the teachers and students of our school. The professor introduced the research content of his team in the field of internal combustion engine and vehicle power, as well as the related technologies in the field of internal combustion engine that Nigeria currently needs. This report broadened the academic horizons of teachers and students, and created a more international and diversified academic environment for the School.
During the visit, the foreign guest also visited some research groups in mechanical and thermal power, and discussed potential cooperative research directions and joint training programs, which laid a solid foundation for further substantive cooperation in the future. This visit is also one of the important measures to promote cultural exchanges and academic cooperation between our schools and the "Belt and Road" countries.
