The delegation from University of Malaya visited School of Mechanical Engineering

　　On the morning of November 7, 2018, the delegation from the University of Malaya visited the School of Mechanical Engineering of Tianjin University. The vice dean of the School of Mechanical Engineering, Jiao Kui, met with the visiting delegation, and the representative of young teachers Zheng Huijiang, foreign affairs secretary Ms. Lydia Liang also attended the meeting.

　　First of all, Prof. Jiao Kui, on behalf of the School of Mechanical Engineering, expressed his warm welcome to the delegation of the University of Malaya. After that, Ms. Liang introduced the Tianjin University and the School of Mechanical Engineering to the delegation. The main contents include the history, the teaching staff, the education concept, education, the international exchange programs, the research field, and the scientific research achievements. The members of the University of Malaya delegation were very interested in the history and current status of the school. In the meeting, the delegation put forward a lot of questions and topics that they are interested in. During the conversation, many members of the delegation were very interested in the laboratory. The delegation visited the national experimental teaching demonstration center and we invited the teacher of the laboratory to introduce. The delegation of the University of Malaya gave a high evaluation of the construction and development of the School of Mechanical Engineering of Tianjin University.

　　The meeting made the consensus on the students exchange program. UM will provide a short winter/summer project- based program for the students of TJU, and this will be the start of the cooperation between two institutions.
