The Vienna PhD School of Informatics offers a three year program with an intense period of supervised study and research, culminating in the submission of a thesis. The PhD School's curriculum covers the five main research areas of the Faculty of Informatics:
* Business Informatics
* Computational Intelligence
* Computer Engineering
* Distributed and Parallel Systems
* Media Informatics and Visual Computing
Application deadline for courses starting in October 2012 is April 1st, 2012.
Each year up to 15 students will be awarded a scholarship.
Female applicants are explicitly encouraged to apply. Preference will be given when equally qualified.
